Training Modules

About Our Training

Training is an essential part of any improvement initiative to do it right from the beginning and an excellent way for any team building activity or where you want people to grow together. Training should be calibrated to suit the right level based on the background and skills of the participants, not too easy as you quickly loses interest, but not to complex or too much at the same time so you give up. A well designed training program will boost any improvement or change initiative you consider!
Girl with books Virled offer classroom training, arranged either at one of the conference facilities we use, or on site at you premises, or as part of your conference as a separate workshop. The training is calibrated to match the participant's previous experience and adopted to the industry they come from. Our training is unique blend of theoretical knowledge (know how to do) combined with practical exercises (be able to do).
Training on site at your premises is tailored to you needs, e.g. by together developing best practice and apply this to your daily routines. Routines and standards you develop your self is also the ones you tend to follow as you understands how to do and more important, are able to do. Training is an investment in your personal and the result will pay off in higher performance through dedicated personnel doing the right things with a higher quality but to a lower overall cost.
We do also provide e-learning as a complement to traditional classroom training, e.g. as preparations for other training or as an alternative way of learning. Individual training is more flexible as you decide timing yourself and you can learn in a speed that suits your own needs.

Lighting Improvement

Lighting Improvement is often part of an operational strategy to introduce a lighting environment according to best practice, and to identify and reduce unnecessary energy losses caused by use of lamps and lighting sources. By training and coaching Lighting Improvement Coordinators and improvement teams in different lighting technologies and methodologies to measure and quantify energy they will be able to introduce improvements.
Virled provide a structured training module, i.e. the LIR - Lighting Improvement Route to be used by the improvement teams. The route consist of six steps which are implemented by the teams during a three months period after focused training sessions in between the steps to learn and master the theory. The improvement teams works best if they have a cross functional mix, e.g. with people from operations, maintenance and quality departments.

Energy Reduction

Energy Reduction is an essential part of any environmental strategy to secure energy is used according to best practice making the company greener and working towards a sustainable approach. Using Energy Reduction teams specialising on different energy losses will secure measurable results.
Virled provide a structured training module, i.e. the ERR - Energy Reduction Route to be used by the improvement teams. The route consist of several steps which are implemented by the teams during a three to four months period after focused training sessions in between the steps to learn and master the theory. The improvement teams works best if they have a cross functional mix, e.g. with people from operations, maintenance and quality departments.

Problem Solving

Every day we face problems, some of them is easy to solve as the cause of the problem is obvious. However, many problems, especially related to a production environment can be more complex to solve and keeps coming back over and over again whatever actions we take. This is quite common as we have not yet found and addressed the root cause of the problem and hence need a structured method to assist us.
Virled provide problem solving training on different levels, depending on the need of the organisation. Everybody should be familiar with basic problem solving methods such as PDCA, Ishikawa and 5WHY, but others might need more advanced Problem Solving methods such as APS, Advanced 5WHY, FMEA, FMECA or similar. All of these methods are based on collecting and listing facts and observations of various detailed level and will ultimately lead us to find the true root cause(s) and guide your effort.

Problem Analysis & Decision Making

When working with project management or when you are confronted with difficult problems, important decisions, and the need for successful actions, you cannot just make a best guess and hope for a positive outcome. Hunches, instinct, and pure intuition may occasionally be inspiring, but they more often lead to unforeseen difficulties and delayed results.
Virled offers Kepner-Tregoe (KT) workshop methodologies, used by e.g. NASA and other hight performance organisations where there is no room for mistakes even if they are working at fast pace with difficult activities.

Train the trainer

Training is an essential part of any organisation and for new or special topics external trainers and specialist are preferably used. For basic and repeated training it might be a good idea to develop your internal trainers. The candidates can be someone with a special interest and knowledge in a certain topics or a leader of an operational unit.
Virled provide training and coaching of, e.g. Lighting Improvement Coordinators (LIC) or Subject Matter Experts (SME) to take on the role as Internal Trainer.
